I'm too lazy to blog...

Ok, I've been busy for the past few days so I didn't have the time to blog. Hmmm... what I want to blog is that one evening my bf and I walked from the park near my place, crossed a road to Siglap park connector, crossed another road to another small park, crossed overhead bridge to Fitness park and end up in.....

Guess where?

East Coast Park!!

Haha... Quite fun actually but sweatly.

Recently I wasn't feeling good emtionally. I guess it's the all-girls-excuse again... PMS. Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes I cry. Stress.

P/s: Even hj dreamt about me being sad!

Just came back from a dinner at Roxy Square Hotel. Mercure. Food wasn't that bad. My grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins... everyone was there to welcome my new relative from US. Hmmmm. Seems like a nice person though we have communication barrier. Hmmm. I just realised I left out my Thai cousins.

Anyway, I had a good time. Thanks to my sister, else I'll feel bored during the dinner. We pratically did things together, like shopping for accessories at Parkway, getting food from the buffet spread, went washroom together...

Ah, I'm glad I have a sister!

Really, the more I look at my bro and my biao ge, the more they look alike! Same facial expression, same features... No wonder when we were kids eating ice cream together, people always thought my mum had 4 children. Haha. They'll say, "So li hai ah, shen si4 ge!"

Today my biao jie showed outright favourism towards me! Haa. Since young I know she dotes me. I wonder why. Even my sis knows. I think she thinks I look like her ba. (Oh! I'm just so blessed.)

Ok, I have to sleep. Night.

Steamboat at Joaquim Suntec

Today's my parents's 22th wedding anniversary! Hehe... We initially wanted to dine at Rice Table in Suntec but it's fully booked. The place's half empty. Duhz. Anyway, I took their name card so that the next time I can make reservations.

So... we went back to Joaquim Steamboat. Been there with my family quite a few times already. Each person cost around $21, worth a try!

My mum and me.. hehe

My 20th Birthday Celebrations: 2

19th March 2005, Saturday

I had lessons from 9am to 5pm and by the time hj, ps and I met sharon and px at Orchard, I was very very tired. We window shopped for a while before settling down for dinner at NYDC.

I had baked rice as I just had pasta the day before. I promise I'm NOT having pasta again, not so soon. Getting quite sick of it. Haa. Anyway, I had a great time though tired.

All of the sudden, ay appeared and claimed that she happened to see me. So she joined us for dinner. At first, I felt soo awkward and embarrassed. You picture a friend of yours who wasn't invited to a party, turned up and she decides to stay without asking and you were in the first place with other friends and everyone don't know her. Of course you need to entertain her AND also your other friends.

That's what happened. I was really appalled by her behaviour. I mean I would feel weird showing up like that and what's more, joining strangers for dinner when everyone's almost done eating. I was thinking what should I do??

Especially so when the others started whispering and smsing to each other (think I dunno.) Tired and stressed me, eventually thought my evening was ruined. But guess what? (I'm starting to dislike surprises.)

My friends actually invited her and didn't want to let me know. Ah.. Dotz..

CHEEEYYY!!! I THOUGHT WHAT. Tell me earlier mah. I guess no one knows I was in a difficult position. I felt so relieved and a lot better after that.

Nevermind. Hj and company ordered a slice of 'Ugly cake' with a candle on it. I made a simple wish and blow out the candles. They bully me... made me eat from 3 forks at a time. Haa. Even took evidence of it with the camera.

I want to say thanks girls! For the present, for the mini cake and for the company. I will use the bag as often as possible. Thanks! :)

My 20th Birthday Celebrations

18th March 2005, Friday

I met eb, ay and yk (always this group) at Plaza Singapura. Had dinner at Baker's Inn. We ordered cakes, pasta and ice water. I tried five types of cake that day. Frasier, Tiramisu, Oreo cheese, New York cheesecake and one more with peanuts. I've forgotten the name.

The pastas aren't very expensive and tasted better than Pasta Mania and Pizza Hut. But I find a little too creamy for me. Anyway, I had a good time joking with the rest. :)

After that, we watched that 8.50pm movie, Hostage. The movie's not bad, quite thrilling and some parts are simply not for the fragile heart.

(I didn't want to say this here... but I want to keep this memory, so I'll say...) There's this part where the killer face suddenly appeared in the mirror, and I guess I've already sort of expected it and everyone else too, and guess what?

She screamed. Horribly, loudly.
*Oh my*

She scared me. Ok. I have to admit I hide my face behind my bf's shoulder during some terrifying scenes. I guess the actor who acted as the killer is superb. He had the menancing look in his green eyes, bloody face slashed by a sharp knife. Gruesome.

Even when I went to bed with blanket covered up to my chin, I had that image in my mind.

Anyway. 3 stars for the movie!

Presents from ay and yk:

Good skin: Part1

PART 1:

How to have a good complexion everyday? Just follow the following few tips!

Disclaimer: These are all gathered from my experience and not from any skin specialist or whatsoever. :)

1. When you wake up every morning, before you wash up, gulp down half a cup of luke warm water. Of course unless you are already urgently in need of the toilet. :P

I learnt this from a teacher who claimed that by doing this, will help clear any unwanted substance and free you from pimples.

2. Before cleansing of face, squeeze sufficient face wash onto palms, not too much and not too little (too much will cause drying of skin, too little doesn't clean throughly.)

ALWAYS lather with water first. I repeat, ALWAYS lather with water, rub with your hands until a bit warm, then... cleanse your face. Doing this ensures that it is evenly spread out. The warmth will help open pores and better absorption!

3. When cleansing face, start with your T-zone. Usually the nose and chin will have more oil, focus on these areas. Rest of the face like cheeks, lips and forehead, do not rub too much.

For area near eyes, try NOT to rub at all! Eye area actually doesn't need cleanser, water will do. You don't want wrinkles to form.

To be continued...

P/s: I always thought of publishing my own book of Personal Grooming. Hehe... I think i should start from here.

Wedding Dinner

I just returned home from a wedding dinner of some distant relative at Holiday Inn with my parents. Word to describe: Classy.

I mean the people who turned up.

I guess everyone did their preparations before turning up in the evening. Ladies shopped for beautiful dresses (I bet cost a lot), shoes and accessories, did their hair at the salon (either set or perm or dye) and even Aunties looked good with matching dress and bag. Diamonds dazzling everyone.

Wow. The hotel so class meh? Food is lousy and simple. Only the atmosphere and decorations are nice. Ok lar. Passable as 2.7 stars.

Guys looked smart in long sleeves and ironed pants. Uncles looked 5 years younger. But I don't recognise anyone. (Distant relative mah.)

Anyway.

Food is lousy. Oh, I've mentioned that.

Bride is pretty, used to be an air stewardess. Bridegroom not handsome (must be rich.) But they looked happy so everyone's happy for them.

Luckily, my parents made conversations with the people sitting in the same table as us. Else, I'll be bored stiff.

Actually, I spent most of my time sms-ing under the table or I'll look around scanning for any familiar face, but found none.

Wedding dinners with strangers are boring.

I drank 3 to 4 glasses of red wine and was stopped by my mum. (Not my fault, the waiter kept refillling my glass. I think he wants to drunk me.)

Dishes were: Cold plate, shark fins, roasted duck (had a hard time biting), vegetable, prawns, yam with chicken, noodles and dessert. Told you, the food is lousy.

So... If anyone's getting married, don't hold your wedding banquet at 2.7 stars hotels.

Saturday

I got the black heels as a birthday present. I have a question:

PANASONIC X400 better or SAMSUNG X460C?

I'm thinking of getting either one because Starhub is having a promotion.

Samsung don't have Infrared nor Bluetooth right?
Hmmmm... *Considering*

I dunno.

Which one is better?

What should I blog today?

Mock exams are finally over! Yesterday I went shopping with Aiyu at Orchard. (Detailed boring shopping experience ahead, so people who don't like the topic, can give this a miss.)

I've tried like a dozen shoes from Far East. I was soo tempted to buy at least 3 pairs. One black heels from Heatwave, flats with studs from Charles and Keith and the Barbie black heels from 8 vase (read in Chinese).

Oh my.

But I wouldn't get them all... So after a day of consideration, I've decided to go back on Thursday and get the one from Heatwave. The rest can wait. Haa. I've already just bought a white heels that cost $28.80!

Besides looking at shoes, I've also scanned for skirts with a ribbon at the side. Saw quite a few almost similar looking but too expensive.

It looked something like this:

And it costs around $30! Cotton material. I'm looking for substitutes.

Yesterday, I was also tempted to buy watches! Haha... Casio one. They comes in creme white colour, light pink and light blue. All selling at sale price!

And lastly, I want to buy swarovski crystals! Beads Passion at Levelone is selling 12 pieces for approximately $2 to $3 dollars. I want to learn how to make earrings and necklace. :)

Before going home, we had 1/2 priced waffles at Gelare. Happy day.
