How flexible?

It's so late and I'm still up and awake. Too full to sleep. Sigh. Finally, my bf's will be back from his holiday trip tomorrow. I was quite busy these few days, although there's no school. So, I didn't miss him that that much.

I guess I'm really different from other girls in a relationship. Often girls will feel more, or very attached to their guy. Or maybe the other way round too, except that guys prefer to keep to themselves due to 'face' problem or 'not their usual way of behaving'. Am I right? (Yes.)

Weird. I never felt extremely attached to anyone. Or at least not for long, the feeling wouldn't last long. Honestly speaking, I couldn't stand people who claim to be not able to live without the other half.

I quite dislike watching dramatic films that exaggerate too much. But Windstruck and Notebook are alright.

Actually, I believe everything is controlled by yourself. Don't blame it on emotions, feelings or conditions. It's all in the mindset. Being in whatever state, is just your state of mind.

Yes, emotions can be affected by condtions. Conditions affect how you feel. Your feeling is your emotion. And so on... All are linked.

However.

IF you were to notice, understand and comprehend, you will realise why you felt this way, what caused this. How are you going to go about in changing it? Or be more aware and use it in another manner.

How to lessen it?
Avoid it (if necessary)?

How to let go? You need to change your perpective, your point of view. How to see from the other side?

Only through yourself, you will understand and grasp the concept and be more aware through emotions and senses. Don't blame others for causing you how you feel but don't blame your character either. A person's character is dependent on how he wants him to be.

Blame it on your inability (or is it refusal?) to apprehend.

My New House

My family and I went over to new house together with my Aunt and Grandma. I love the place! This is my third house since I was born. It's still empty now because we haven't moved in yet. Will be moving over probably next week or week after ba. :)

I've taken some photos using my handphone (mostly) and my brother's one.

This is the outside view. My brother's leaning beside one of the windows. The big empty area will probably for our (future) dog to run about.

Pictures are blurred. Posted by Hello

Door opens...

There're many lights! I've counted a total of 35 (pot) lights, excluding the hanging lamps. Wow. That's ridiculous. 35 is only on ground floor. We must save and conserve energy.

Lights! Posted by Hello

I love the kitchen best! I can't wait to bake my first cake using the in built oven. :)

There's even a backdoor. Cool. After the renovation, the place really looks new. It's my parents' dream house.

For dinner, I had vegeterian food near Kallang Stadium. Dishes aren't that bad, though 'shark fin', 'fish' and 'salad prawns' are all flour. Haha.

Maybe Sharon would love to visit this place. They got lunch buffet for $6 per person. Includes dim sum and normal ala cart dishes. Yummy. I like the yam paste best. Let's have a girls outing soon!

My Grandma gave my siblings and I each an Ang pow. Haha. *Face lighted up* Probably for good luck ba.

She also gave me a pair of pearl and gold (-tinted?) earrings. It's nice. I got one myself which I bought for $0.90 at Queensway Shopping Centre. Haa.

Happy day.

My day

I went for FTT lesson 1 and 2 at Comfort Driving Centre today. Went back on Sunday too, for lesson 3 and 4. Learnt many things and I think I've forgotten a quarter of what I've learnt. Haa.

At the end of the lesson, the lecturer will give us quiz to test ourselves. I failed, scoring 88 out of 100. Suppose to get 90 and above (max 5 mistakes per 50 questions.) Duhz. I've got 12 questions unanswered wrongly. :(

My test's this coming Thursday... I'll be going back on Wednesday for the E-trial tests. I MUST REVISE. I MUST PASS.

Oh yeah. I met a sickening idiot in the evening. When I was walking down an overhead bridge and reaching ground level, suddenly, a moving bicycle appeared and the bloody bicycle almost hit me if not for my fast reaction. And you know what?

The bloody idiot gave me a 'ti ko' look, smiled and...

*Muack.* He kissed the air in my direction.

TMD.

I was too startled. Because I just missed hitting the bicycle. Or should it be the other way round?

MD. I thought bicycles have bells, can ring one?! If he doesn't have a bell, at least say a 'Excuse me' or something mah.

AND WHAT'S THAT SHAPE OF YOUR **** LIPS??!!

Sheesh. This isn't the first time I met idiots. I was still thinking whether my eyes were seeing wrongly or what. And was worried if he will cycle back.

....

So, beware of idiots.

Musicals

Phantom of the Opera Posted by Hello

Cool. I've watched Phantom of the Opera today. Since the day I heard the Phantom theme song until the minute the movie began, I dislike the musical.

Why? This is surprising right, because to many who know me, the name 'shimin' gives them a 'classical' feel. Wahaha... Ok, stupid me.

People know I love classical music and with their little knowledge, they would think that musicals are classics. Sorry, you are wrong.

Anyway.

REASONS why I dislike Phantom musical:

1. The song makes me shiver and I get goosebumps when listening to the 'ahhh.... yiiikkk... ahhhh..' part (you know what I mean, that sickening screaming part)

2. The lyrics is very, very, too confusing because I never catch what was happening, based on just listening to the song alone.

3. I always thought the mask man is lame.

But you know what? I've changed my mind today! Yupz. The musical is GREAT! I love the movie! Wow~! Awesome. Marvellous.

I guess it needs people (like me, ha ha) to appreciate this kind of music to be able to enjoy watching the musical cum movie. Shame on Straits Times's reviewer to rate it 3 stars only. I think the movie deserves 3.5 to 4 stars.

Though I have to admit, the girl who played Christine doesn't have a strong voice compared to singers like Sarah Brightman, who is my favourite new age singer. But I thought she wasn't that bad. Can publish album and beat Charlotte Church.

Sarah Brightman Posted by Hello

No, I don't hate Charlotte Church. I just didn't think she is fantantic. Her voice is thick and... I can't say it's hoarse, it is... Incoherent! Yupz. Just listen to her duet with Sarah Brightman. Oh my.

Charlotte Church in Japan Posted by Hello

Her voice's muffled. She's a growing teen who sounds more like a choir soloist. Perhaps with more years of training, she would improve. I heard she's into hit pop songs now ?

Ok. I digressed.

Anyway. I've searched my cd racks and found 2 cds. Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical collection. Surprised, when did I bought them? Must be years ago when I left them untouched after realising (then) I don't really like musicals.

Didn't realise that songs like All I ask of You and Music of the Night are actually from the Phantom musical. I've been listening to them, heard them before but never realise they are songs from the musical I used to disliked.

*Slap myself*
It's time to wake up now.

Oh yeah. Merry Christmas to all!

Sick

The windows were opened for fresh air. I could hear birds chirping. Once a while, a strong breeze will cause the blinds to rattle. The ceiling fan turned at a slow speed. Everything looked boring.

I've been sick for the past 2 days. Flu virus i guess. Starts with a sore throat followed by a fever that mounted up to 38.8 degrees and ended with an irritated throat. Coughs and phlegm looks gross.

My bro's room became a hospital ward, where my sis slept at the bed beside me. Her case's more serious than mine. We concluded that my dad spread the virus to us.

Anyway. My fever's gone now, though feeling a bit heavy headed. Coughs now and then. Arghh...

I want to go school tomorrow. I want to go out and play.

P/s: Exactly 3 months from now. People, start planning for my birthday. :P

SIM-UOL Bash

Last night, the two, fy and I went to SIM-UOL bash at Chinablack. Quite many people turned up, including people who are not from SIM. The pageant was alright. Miss SIM-UOL looks eurasian to me but nevertheless pretty. Slightly voluptuous type and with a bit of attitute.

As for Mr SIM-UOL, ah, he's the guy in my maths lecture whom we girls usually talk about. His hairstyle. One week it's like this, another week, oh my what happened we thought, because it's all ruffled like a doll's hair. I guess he likes to play with his hair.

Anyway the pageant ended at 10+pm and the normal thing began. As it was my first time in a pub (yay, finally) I have no idea the place was so smokey. Can feel my eyes drying up with my contact lenses. Haha. Anyway after I left my eyes are slightly red although I only drank juice.

I guess pubbing is not my cup of tea. No idea how people can dance like that. Maybe they drank a lot? Ps was telling me I can imagine I'm doing aerobics. (I was uh so-called 'individual champion' in my jc's aerobic marathon.) But....

This is totally different! Duhz. Anyway I guess i won't be going back, at least not so soon, until I've figured it out. Haa. At least I'm glad my dear sista agrees with me about the dancing. But it's an eye-opener for me.

I left early yesterday, around 12am. My bf drove me home in friend's car with friend beside as an in-case-of-emergancy instructor and road director. Haha. :P

Slept at around 3am last night and I'm up now, blogging! Hehe... A bit bored now... so I'm looking forward to buffet dinner with the rest in the evening. :)

Some quiz

Which Band Should You Be In?
by couplandesque
Your Name
Band NameGreen Day
RoleDrummer
TrademarkAppearing Onstage Almost Nude
Love InterestWell-Known Actress
Quiz created with MemeGen!

That's a quiz I came across in Sharon's page. 'Green Day' sounds crappy, too environmental friendly.

'Drummer' role sounds interesting to me. You wouldn't believe it if I were to tell you now that I used to dream being able to hit the drums. I thought I was rhythemic. Haa!

'Appearing onstage almost nude'??! Now that doesn't suit me at all. So does 'well know actress'.

Shopping

I went Bugis with the two and will go going back tomorrow too. I'm still considering some clothes i've KIV. Hehe..

Then, we walked to Suntec from Bugis. Ps and I don't have umbrella so all three of us sqeezed into hj's umbrella. Haha... So fun. And we sort of created some commotions. I think onlookers will find us either playful or ki siao. :P

I've been behaving out of the norm almost all day. Showing the other lame and joker side. Hehe... I guess I've made them surprised by my ability to be a (lame yet cute) joker.

The four of us bought cheesecake at Carrefour and we ate at the Carrefour corner. We had to hide behide a pillar to eat!

Met px after her work at 6pm. Then we had pasta at Coffee Bean. Wow, I never know Coffee Bean sells pasta. Anyway the roasted chicken and mushroom fusilli tasted not bad except that I don't really like pasta with chilli.

I had an enjoyable and fun day with my friends. Looking forward to gym session next Wednesday! ^_^

Day 1

THURS 2/12/04

5:25 am - *Yawn* I woke up so bloody early, first time in years. Carried my luggage (which looks like a laptop case, according to the rest) downstairs where my bf's waiting for me in cab.

6.10 am - Reached Golden Mile Complex and shortly after we met ps and family. Found px and others nowhere, so we decided to call px first. Guess what? Px's still asleep! OM. The bus would be leaving at 7 am sharp! She thought we were meeting at 6pm! *Pengz* Anyway, she made it just on time. :P

7:00 am onwards - Journey all the way...

3:00 pm - Checked into Resort Hotel. And it's shopping time! I KIV some tee shirts which i like and tried them out. Only bought one purple tee the next day.

Dinner time, we had Kenny Rogers at First World. *Yummy* Then we watched The Incredibles at RM10 per ticket! Hahaha... So cheap. The show is funny and jack jack is cute! I thought Violet looked like Sadako. Haha...

Day 2 - Theme Park!

FRI 3/12/04

We had dim sum breakfast, Uncle's treat. Not too full because we were preparing for outdoor theme park!

11:00 onwards - Fun time! I played the Dragon coaster, Cyclone, Mine train, the Merry-go-round swinging chairs, Teacup and kid's Merry-go-round. Hahaha...

I don't dare to play the Space shot, too scary le! Only brave px and my bf played that. It's like 15 storey high! And you only sit on a chair (of course with belt), facing outwards. Then you will slowly go up and up and very high up! When you reached the top...

*Shheessshh*
*Jerks to a stop*

Bengz, dunno why there will be a very loud noise, sounding like that's it, that's the end, it would be a disastrous ride (like what hj said.)

Anyway, we had lots of fun. :)

I wanted to play Go-kart, Bumper boat and Ferris wheel but there wasn't enough time.

I'm back

SAT 4/12/04

9:30 am - 10:30 am - Finally woke up. I was the last to climb out of bed. Haa. So tired and I had flu. Then, we went First World and decided on Marrybrown breakfast.

10:30 am - 12 noon - Last minute shopping. The rest bought clothes, accessories and lollipop bubble gum. Then we met up at hotel room, check out and went for lunch. Uncle treated us at Hao You Ji chinese restaurant. :)

12:00 noon onwards - In cable car and heading downwards, hopped on big bus and back to Singapore!

It was a long journey home on the bus. I watched two movies on board. Then i fell asleep, my head kept going sideways. Traffic jam on our way to Yong Peng and all of us were urgently in need of going to the toilet!

6+ pm - Finally reached the rest stop and we had dinner.

Arrived back in Singapore at 8+ pm yesterday. :)
